Boyd Sports announced on Friday that Kiva Fuller will become the new general manager of the Elizabethton River Riders, effective October 3. She will be replacing Maya Mathis after one season, where the club went 26-26 with her at the helm
Fuller had spent the previous two seasons as the general manager of the Johnson City Doughboys, earning the Appalachian League Patriot Award and Promotion Award. She said that she is excited for the new opportunity.
“I am thrilled to join the Elizabethton River Riders,” Fuller said. “I look forward to providing a fun atmosphere at Northeast Community Credit Union Ballpark as well as becoming a part of the Elizabethton community.
Before coming to the Appy League, Fuller spent time in the Coastal Plain League, serving as the general manager of the Forest City Owls for six seasons. Boyd vice president Jeremy Boler said that the quality of her previous stops made her a great option.
“Kiva has been an integral part of our success in Johnson City over the past two years,” Boler said. “Kiva is very dedicated to her team and community and works extremely hard. Everyone who gets to know Kiva loves her. I am very excited for the River Riders community and fans to get to know Kiva.”
This will be the third general manager for the River Riders in as many seasons, as the club looks to find stability in the position.
