Harvest Baptist
Harvest Baptist Church will observe Founders Day Sunday, Oct. 2, with its founder and long-time pastor as special guest.
The church was founded in 1997 by Pastor Dale Greenwell. He and his family will be special guests at the Sunday services when the church’s history will be given, followed by a worship service with preaching at 11 a.m. Lunch will be served at noon.
The afternoon service will feature gospel music and a message from Pastor Greenwell.
Many have their lives touched by the ministry of Pastor Greenwell, and they are especially invited to attend services Sunday.
The present pastor is Jim Johnson.
JC Church of Jesus
Evangelist Chris Johnston and family from Alabama will minister at the Church of Jesus, 809 W. Main St., Johnson City, Oct. 6, at 7 p.m.
Pastor Brian Cloyd and the congregation invite the public to attend.
First Christian
First Christian Church, Elizabethton, will begin a new sermon series Sunday based on the book by Max Lucado titled “You’ll Get Through This.”
Also, a new study will begin at the Wednesday night service titled “12 Extraordinary Women” by John McArthur.
The Sunday service will begin at 9:45 a.m. and the Wednesday service at 6 p.m.
First Christian is located at 513 Hattie Ave.
First Presbyterian
First Presbyterian Church, 119 West F St., will have both an in-person and online service Sunday at 11 a.m.
The pastor, the Rev. Dr. Brian Wyatt, will present the sermon “Rethinking Atonement” from Rom. 3: 21-23 and II Cor. 5: 16-19.
Adult Forum and Youth Group will meet both in person and online.
