Potential of inclement weather changes EHS Homecoming festivities

With Hurricane Ian bearing down on the Florida peninsula, weather forecasters are predicting that the Tri-Cities area will be impacted by remnants of the storm this coming weekend and as a result, the Elizabethton Cyclones Homecoming football game with Sullivan East has been moved to Thursday night with a 7:30 p.m. kickoff at Citizens Bank Stadium.
As a result, the school released the following changes and updates to the festivities that were scheduled for the week.
The T.A. Dugger football game against Greeneville Middle will now be played on Wednesday evening at 6 p.m. at Citizens Bank Stadium. The game will be observed as 8th Grade Night with pre-kickoff and halftime recognition taking place.
On Thursday, the elementary pep rallies will still take place as scheduled at Harold McCormick, Eastside, and Westside Elementary Schools. The Homecoming 2022 parade will begin at 6 p.m.
The parade stages at the Nave Center on Jason Witten Way and will proceed to the stadium. At the conclusion of the parade, the Cyclone Walk will take place at approximately 6:15 p.m.
The naming of the Homecoming Queen and her court will take place at the half of the football game.
On Friday, the T.A. Dugger Bean Supper will take place as originally scheduled at T.A. Dugger Jr. High.
Tickets for the football game can be purchased at Gofan.co in advance or at the gate prior to kickoff. The cost of the tickets is $8.
