Maynard Lee Williams, 79, Elizabethton, died Saturday, September 24, 2022, after a lingering illness.
Maynard was preceded in death by his father and mother, Maynard H. and Alma “boe” Williams, a son, Terry Lee Williams, and his wife, Nancy Serpella.
He worked at Great Lakes Corp. for over 35 years. Maynard loved his community and was proud to have lived here.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Cheryl Williams, and a very good friend, Greg Hardin, with whom he enjoyed playing music.
Maynard enjoyed making music, his dogs, golf, and the lake.
He was happiest outdoors and when he was making music. As his daughter, I will always remember him playing at the Covered Bridge Festival when I was a child. He had an amazing voice and he could play most musical instruments. He was the best father a child could have.
