BLUE RIDGE SUMMIT, Pa. — Patricia Ballard, 72, passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at Chambersburg Hospital. Born February 3, 1950 in Elizabethton, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Charlotte Campbell and Fred Stout.
Patricia graduated from Elizabethton High School in Elizabethton, Tenn. She was employed as an in-home healthcare provider.
Patricia enjoyed canning and freezing her own food that she and her husband grew themselves or bought locally. She also valued supporting the underserved of the community and was a strong advocate against all forms of discrimination.
Patricia is survived by her husband, Dale; two daughters, Lisa and Michelle Townsend; two grandchildren, Vanessa Sewell and Mikel Osbey; one great-grandson, DeSean Lawrence; and three sisters, Margie Scalf, Sandra Downing and Jody Tovo.
Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Campbell and James Walsh, and one sister, Sandra Berry.
