Cindy Marie Garrison Austin, 61, Elizabethton, passed away Thursday, September 15, 2022, at her residence. She was born August 28, 1961 in Elizabethton.
Cindy was a graduate of Elizabethton High School and was a waitress at the Waffle House in Elizabethton. She attended Valley Forge Christian Church.
In addition to her mother, Evonne Flockhart Garrison, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael James Austin.
Survivors include her sons, Michael (Jessica) Austin, Elizabethton, and Dustin Austin, of the home; a granddaughter, Autumn Nicole Austin; her father, Jerry Garrison, Elizabethton; a brother, Glen Ray Garrison, Elizabethton; two step-sisters, Sherry Edney and Kathy Groves; and a step-sister-in-law, Barbara Edney.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 21, at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Mr. David Siebenaler, minister, officiating. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 1:20 p.m. Wednesday to go in procession to the cemetery.
