Brenda Gail Hampton, age 77 of Elizabethton, TN went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, after a sudden illness. She was a loving sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She graduated from Eastern Tennessee State University College of Nursing Program and went on to work most of her years in home health and hospice. She was also a dedicated member of East Side Baptist Church.
Her hobbies included crocheting, spending time with her grandchildren, and reading her Bible. She found great joy in going on spur-of-the-moment adventures and making memories with her family and friends. She dedicated her life to her family, and made sure they were supported in everything they did.
She was proceeded in death by her husband, Timothy Hampton and her granddaughter, Heather Hampton.
She is survived by her brother James Gorley and sister Jackie Davis; her daughters Sarah Bowling and Margaret Allen; son-in-laws Matt Bowling and Tony Allen; grandchildren, Chris Bowing, Krissy Bowling, Craig Bowling, Jeremiah Allen, Riley Allen, Brittnay Allen, Trinity Allen, April Allen, Victoria Watford, and DJ Watford; her great-grandchildren Dominic Bowling, Devon Bowling, Sophia Bowling, Lucas Bowling, Haley Bowling, Wilder Bowling, Mariah Bradley, Christopher Davis, Caleb Bradley, Sadie Allen, and Aubrey Allen. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as many other loved ones who considered her their NaNa too.
Though she will be greatly missed, may we find peace knowing she is at home in her cabin on the corner of Glory Land.
The family will be having a private celebration of life at a later date.
