Harold Normen Carver, 92, Johnson City, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2022, at his residence.
A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Walter L. and Callie Mathes Carver.
Harold served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was retired from the Sperry Corporation and was a member of Watauga Point United Methodist Church.
Harold was a Lady Vols fan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn Carver.
Survivors include one sister, Louise Johnson; two sons, Alan Carver, Jonesborough, and Richard E. Carver, Elizabethton; several nieces and nephews; a step-granddaughter, Meghan Redman; a step-daughter, Cathy (Terry) Grindstaff, Johnson City; a step-son, Richard Nelson, Johnson City; two step-grandsons, Travis Nelson and Todd Nelson, both of Elizabethton; and two step-granddaughters, Julie Bailey and Mechelle Grubbs, both of Unicoi.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, August 19, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Estel Williams and Pastor Mike Berry officiating. Interment will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, prior to the service. Condolences may be sent to the family at our website, www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
