Judy Garland Lipford, 77, Elizabethton, passed away Friday, August 5, 2022, at Johnson City Medical Center.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Haskell and Frances O’Quinn Garland.
Judy was a retired employee of Kerr Drug Pharmacy and the Cafeteria Department of the Elizabethton School System. She loved crafts and sewing.
Judy was a member of Oak Street Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jackson B. Lipford; a grandson, Heath Lipford; and a sister, Rhonda Winters.
Survivors include her children, Tammy Wallace (Gary) Lipford, Chuckey, Tenn., Michael (Phyllis) Lipford, Concord, N.C., and Todd (Pam) Lipford, Charlotte, N.C.; seven grandchildren, Devin Lipford, Jessica Wallace, Melissa Phillips, Ashley Lipford, Hannah Lipford and Haleigh Lipford; 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Donna (Robert) Carroll, Elizabethton; and two brothers, Jerry (Barbara) Rumley, Watauga, and Darrell (Lee) Garland, Hampton. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday, August 15, in the Mausoleum of Peace at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Rev. Chris Shumate officiating. Music will be provided by C.J. Ballard. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum of Peace. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
