Afton man charged with possession of prohibited weapons, observation without consent

Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Billy Ray Surrett, 44, of Afton, Monday evening and charged him with possession of prohibited weapons and three counts of observation without consent.
According to Sheriff Keith Sexton, deputies responded to the Conklin community in reference to Surrett pulling into driveways and asking women to look at pornographic movies on his phone. Upon stopping Surrett a few miles from the victim’s home, deputies learned that he had committed the same offense twice earlier that day.
Upon searching Surrett, deputies found a pair of brass knuckles in his back pocket, which is a prohibited weapon. Deputies transported him to the Washington County Detention Center. Bond was set at $4,000.
