Roger M. Ellison, 72, of Hampton, Tenn., passed away Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Johnson City Medical Center. He was the son of the late Ora Ellison and Eunice Messer Ellison.
Roger worked at Paty Lumber Company and retired as a foreman over the door stock at Builders First Source. Roger enjoyed collecting, working on cars, hauling junk and loved to tell stories.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Mary Ellison, and brother, Robert Ellison.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Adam Ellison of Hampton; daughter, Michelle Holtsizer (Tony) of New Ellenton, S.C.; five grandchildren, Abigail Baker, Allison Baker, J.R. Baker, Ashley Summer and C.J. Holtsizer; two great-grandchildren; and one brother, Nathan Ellison of Ellenton, S.C.
A memorial service to honor the life of Roger M. Ellison will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 2, in the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Rev. Josh Kodak officiating.
