On Thursday, June 23, the Carter County Car Club held a Family Day Car Show for members of the Boys & Girls Club of Elizabethton/Carter County.
The car club supports the Boys & Girls Club every year with its annual giving campaign.
This year’s summer theme at the club is “Through the Decades” and this week’s decade is the 1950s.
“It seemed to be a perfect fit to have the Carter County Car Club come out and showcase their beautiful classic cars,” said Charlene Ray, director of resource and development. “This is the first year we have done this event, but we hope to continue as the kids really loved it. Carter County Car Club was very gracious in letting the kids sit in the cars, learn about the cars, and even honk a few horns.”
