Danny Joe Bailey, age 54 of Butler, TN formerly of Tazewell, VA passed away Monday, April 24, 2022, at his home. Born July 22, 1967, in Welch, WV, he was a son of Tommy D. Bailey of Chase City, VA and Elizabeth Ahmed of Butler, TN. He was of the Freewill Baptist faith. Danny loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He worked as a welder, and millworker, also enjoyed traveling and was an over the road truck driver and mechanic. Danny was a real “Jack of all Trades” guy. He was preceded in death by one son, Dalton Bailey and one granddaughter, Oliva Grace Tester.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sons, Daniel Scott Bailey of Bristol, TN and Tommy Joe Bailey of Chase City, VA; a daughter, Angel Marie Farmer of Chase City, VA; two sisters, Tammy Allen and Nikkie Bailey both of Butler, TN; the mother of his children, Angeline Godzich of Cleveland, OH; six grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Saturday, April 30, 2022, at Peery & St. Clair Funeral Home in Tazewell, VA, where funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM with Pastor Brandon Young officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA.
Flowers are welcome, however memorial donations may be made to the Building on Faith Fund, C/O Harmony Freewill Baptist Church, (for the Cosey Community Center) 3405 Gap Creek Rd, Hampton, TN 37658.
