T.A. Dugger FBLA excels at state competition in Chattanooga

Six T.A. Dugger students earned a spot in the 2022 Future Business Leaders of America National competition.
The students were part of the local team that recently competed at the state level.
“I am so proud of this group of Middle-Level students,” said T.A. Dugger FBLA Adviser Robin McKamey. “All eight of the competitors are state finalists. The students worked hard to prepare for state competition and raised funds to travel to Chattanooga.
“For the majority of the students, it was their first time traveling without their parents which led to many life lessons due to starting at such a young age. Managing their money and their time, getting themselves up and ready to go for competition on time and networking/meeting new people, and making new friends that will last a lifetime. I am so proud of all of them and I am excited to see what Nationals holds for this group in Chicago, Illinois at the end of June.”

The overall mission of FBLA is to inspire and prepare students to become community-minded business leaders in a global society through relevant career preparation and leadership experiences.
McKamey was assisted on the trip by TAD Guidance Counselor Vanessa Nanney.
