Two people were injured during a shooting Tuesday night in Roan Mountain according to authorities.
The incident happened in the 400 block of Cove Creek Road.
According to reports from the Carter County Sheriff’s Department, the two victims were hospitalized after the homeowner exchanged gunfire with a suspected burglar.
The Sheriff’s office reported there was no active threat remaining.
