ETSU set to play Wofford in the first round of women’s SoCon tournament

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Southern Conference has announced the seeding for the 2022 Ingles SoCon Women’s Basketball Championship, which will begin Thursday, March 3. The tournament will take place at the Harrah’s Cherokee Center in Asheville, N.C.
ETSU (6-21, 5-9) will take on No. 2 Wofford (16-12, 11-3) in the first round of the tournament on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. The two teams split their regular-season meetings this season.
Both teams won at home. The Terriers won the first game 73-51 in Spartanburg, S.C., on Jan. 29, while the Bucs won the second 70-64 in Johnson City, Tenn. on Feb. 24.
Semifinal action will take place on Friday, and the women’s championship game will tip-off on Sunday at noon.
All women’s basketball games will be held at the Harrah’s Cherokee Center and are set to be broadcast on ESPN+. The title game will also air on select Nexstar affiliates. For more information, visit SoConSports.com.

NOTE: All times Eastern. All games are to be broadcast on ESPN+, with the championship game also on Nexstar.
