A 22-4 first quarter was all it took for the Morristown West Lady Trojans realize it was going to be a long ride home.
Elizabethton built the lead to 32-17 by halftime and cruised to a 58-38 victory.
Once again, the three-point arc was kind to the Lady Cyclones as they collected 11 for the game. Olivia Holly continued to be one of the top three-ball shooters in the area as the sharpshooter hit three treys in the opening half and added two more in the second half to finish with five for the game and a game-high 15 points.
Maddie Fowler is coming on strong down the stretch as the junior knocked down four treys and added a deuce for 14 points in the contest.
While Holly and Fowler were taking care of business on the outside, Lina Lyon was taking care of the paint area as the junior guard pushed the ball toward the rim and recorded 12 points in the contest.
Renna Lane added six in the contest while Reiley Whitson totaled five points. Post Marlee Mathena scored four points while Katie Lee got in the scoring column with two points.
Aubrey Messer’s nine points led the Lady Trojans. Kaylee Dyke, Mia Dinkins, and Aviah Bunsic each tallied five points apiece for Morristown West.
