Although forecasted snow didn’t begin to fall until late Sunday night, all parts of the county received accumulating snow with varying ranges of depth from one to three inches in the lower valleys to more than six inches in Roan Mountain and other parts of the county.
Readers submitted photos from the snowfall at their homes while the Star’s Ivan Sanders and Brandon Hyde also provided photos of the recent snow.
