Norman “Doug” Nave, 82, of Elizabethton, Tenn., passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2021, at his residence. Doug was born in Elizabethton to the late William and Opal Bare Nave. In addition to his parents, Doug was preceded in death by three brothers, Edward Nave, Glen Nave and Horace Nave.
Doug worked as a track inspector for the railroad and also drove a bus for the Carter County School System. He enjoyed staying home relaxing and watching racing and college sports on television. Most of all, Doug enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was of the Baptist faith.
Those left to cherish Doug’s memory include his sons, William Nave and Doug Nave; his grandchildren, Caynne Nave and Connor Nave; and his brother, Jerry Nave. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
