Ernest Ralph Brown, 85, of Roan Mountain, Tenn., passed away on November 2, 2021, at The Waters of Roan Highlands. He was born in Roan Mountain to Roy and Katherine Bowling Brown.
Ralph was of the Freewill Baptist faith and was a kind, friendly man that had many close friends. He was a lifelong mechanic and enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family in his free time.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Pauline Blevins Brown; four children, Helen Ward, Brenda Tipton, Billy Brown and Rebecca Kiser; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Roger Tipton, Charles Odom, Jamie Ward, Thomas Black, Nicholas Tipton, Tyrone Powell, James Black, Ted Gouge and Richard Campbell. The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 p.m. at the Tetrick Rhododendron Chapel in Roan Mountain on Monday, November 8, followed by the service. There will be a graveside service on Tuesday, November 9, at 2 p.m. at 152 Blevins Hollow Road. Those that wish to attend are asked to meet at the graveside at 1:50 p.m. The family wants to thank the staff at the Waters of Roan Highlands for their loving care.
