Annis Taylor Deal

Annis Taylor Deal, 81, Elizabethton, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 21, 2021, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Jess and Maggie Kress Taylor.
Annis was a graduate of Unaka High School. She was a retired employee of the A & P Grocery and had been a member of Dungan Chapel Baptist Church for many years.
Annis will be missed by many.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Deal, and her brothers and sisters, Gilbert Taylor, James Taylor, Bessie Hardin, Vernon Taylor, Aaron Taylor, Ulysses Taylor and Edith Garland.
Survivors include her brother and sister-in-law, Lemmie and Sandra Taylor, and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, October 25, in the Kress Cemetery (Hurley Hollow) with Dr. James Richardson officiating. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Monday, will be nephews and great-nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be her church family. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the staff of Sycamore Shoals Hospital. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
