The Elizabethton Star weekly recognizes the Player of the Week from the previous week’s games. The Week Three standouts are as follows:
Elizabethton
Bryson Rollins
Bryson Rollins garnered the honor for the second time this season as the senior carried most of the offensive load for the Cyclones in their first loss in 32 games. Rollins was 13 of 22 for 110 yards passing and added 21 carries for 84 yards on the ground and the two Cyclone touchdowns in the 42-12 defeat to Greeneville.V
Hampton
Michael Harrison
Michael Harrison had a whale of a football game against visiting Avery County as the senior wide receiver hauled in two scoring receptions and added three interceptions on defense to help the Bulldogs to a 54-26 win.
Happy Valley
Andrew Little
Andrew Little picked up his second Star of the Week for Happy Valley as the senior made the switch over to starting quarterback this week for the Warriors against one of the better 2A teams in the state in South Greene. Little stood up to the challenge and was the one who ultimately found the Warriors first points of the season.
