Science Hill visited John Treadway Gym for volleyball action against the home-standing Lady Cyclones of Elizabethton and took care of business in three straight sets to win the match.
The Lady ‘Toppers used their height to their advantage in winning the contest 25-16, 25-13, and 25-15 as the Lady Cyclones fell to 0-2 on the early season.
Defensively, the Lady Cyclones were led by Grace Martin who had 10 of Elizabethton’s 38 digs in the three sets. Cheyenne Poiroux and Jayci Bowers added nine and seven respectively.
Senior Mattie Davis led the charge at the net as she recorded seven kills in the contest. Karie Merritt added four with Poiroux and Krisalyn Elliott contributing three kills each.
On the offensive side of the net, Davis recorded three aces to lead in that category.
