Just like their high school counterparts, those playing at the middle school football level are looking for every edge they can find by scheduling scrimmages to help identify areas where work is needed before the actual season starts.

The T.A. Dugger Jr. Cyclones held a scrimmage on Saturday at Citizens Bank Stadium hosting the Norris Senators out of Anderson County in a warm, humid afternoon head knocker.

Both teams saw several positives on both sides of the football with the Jr. Cyclones throwing a lot of younger players in the mix to get their feet wet before the regular season begins.

While no score was officially kept, each team managed to get across the goal line on some of their opportunities to do so and the coaches from both staffs were able to capture some film to share with their team this week before engaging in another scrimmage.

The Jr. Cyclones will travel to South on Thursday at 6 pm for their next pre-season scrimmage.
