Bobby Ray Potter, 68, Elizabethton, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital.
A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Carmen Jackson and Jettie Potter.
Bobby was a machine mechanic. He loved spending time with his family and reading.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ruby Gregg.
Survivors include his wife, Sherry O’Brien Potter; three children, Jessica Potter, Bobby Potter Jr. and wife Kristi and Brandon Potter and wife Carley; four grandchildren, Tyler Greenwell, Rylan Potter, Grayson Potter and Madilyn Potter; and one brother, Vaughn Potter and wife Kathy.
It was his wish to be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
Memorial Funeral Chapel is serving the Potter family.
