Elizabethton Chief of Police Jason Shaw announced on Friday evening that two juveniles have been arrested and charged with especially aggravated kidnapping and aggravated assault.

The charges came this afternoon after the Child Advocacy Center’s interview with the 10-year-old female victim and consultation with the district attorney’s office.

According to a press release from Chief Shaw, the juveniles have been arrested and taken to the juvenile detention center to await an initial appearance in juvenile court next week.

Meanwhile, the investigation is continuing and there was no further information on the case at this time.
