McKinney has a strong showing in Georgia swim championship

Stacey McKinney, age 10 of Commerce, Georgia, recently competed in the Georgia Recreation and Parks Association State Swim Championships at Gilbert-Stephenson Park in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia on July 16th and 17th.
McKinney competed in three individual events and two team relay events. She finished second in the 100-yard Individual Medley with a time of 1:37.92; second in the 25-yard Backstroke (21.32); and third in the 25-yard Breaststroke (22.47).
Her relay team took first place in the 100-yard Medley Relay with a time of 1:23.81 and third in the 100-yard Freestyle Relay (1:13.59).
McKinney swims for the Commerce Tiger Sharks in the summer and looks forward to swimming for Commerce Middle School this fall/winter as a fifth-grader.
Stacey is the daughter of Jack and Kerri McKinney of Commerce, Georgia; and the granddaughter of the late Jack McKinney of Elizabethton and Christine McKinney of Johnson City; and the great-granddaughter of the late Tom and Stacey Morgan of Ripshin Mountain and the late Ernest and Ethel McKinney of Shell Creek.
