Head-on collision sends pair to hospital

An afternoon head-on crash at 1022 Highway 91 in the Stoney Creek community resulted in both drivers being sent to the hospital with unspecified injuries according to a Carter County Sheriff’s deputy that had responded to the accident.
The accident happened at the entrance to Danner Road and left one car sitting in the left-hand lane headed toward Stoney Creek and the other vehicle came to rest on the opposite side of the road facing toward Stoney Creek as well.
Stoney Creek Volunteer Fire Department along with the Carter County Sheriff’s Office and a Tennessee Highway Patrolman responded to the accident along with the Carter County Rescue Squad to transport the injured.
The cause of the accident was unknown.
