Marie S. Brown, 91, passed away Sunday, July 4, 2021, and was laid to rest to await her resurrection in the Lord Jesus. She was the daughter of the late Matney and Maud Blevins Simerly. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Oscar Brown; a sister, Euvada Simerly Widener; two brothers, Lawrence and Ralph Simerly; two nieces and two nephews.
Marie was a graduate of EHS and attended Steed College. She began her working career at S H Kress where she became a floor manager, better known to the local people as “The Floor Lady.” Afterwards, she was employed at Raytheon until her retirement. She attended Borderview Christian Church all her life where she was so proud to be the oldest member. Although being unable to attend lately due to ill health, she always wanted the church papers to keep up with the news, especially the prayer list.
Survivors are her sister, Dorothy Dale Chapman, and several nieces and nephews.
