Food for the Multitude will have a fundraising yard sale June 24, 25, and 26 at the American Legion (corner of Watauga and West G Street).
Persons who have items to donate to the sale are asked to bring on June 23.
Food for the Multitude is a collaborative effort among local churches to provide nourishing, hot meals for people in need. The organization was started in the early 1980s to provide a meal on Saturdays. Currently, it serves 250 meals and upward and has five churches in partnership.
Yard sales help supply funds, but private donations are the main source of funds.
The meals are prepared and served weekly at the TLC Community Center, 145 Judge Don Lewis Rd. in Elizabethton.
