Clyde Houston Lewis, age 89, of Elizabethton, Tennessee went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 27, 2021, from the Hillview Health Center.  Clyde was born in Elizabethton to the late Clarence Lewis and Iva Lee Estes.  In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife and the mother of his children, Beryl Taylor Lewis; and a granddaughter, Laura Jane Pashenee.
 
Clyde had been employed with the TVA for 4 years as a tree topper, for McClellan Air Force Base as a heavy equipment operator for over 25 years, and at PIE Trucking Company as a long haul driver for 6 years.  He also was employed at the box factory in Elizabethton and drove a school bus for Elizabethton.  He was of the Free Will Baptist faith and enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking, tracking and just loved to be outdoors in nature.
 
Those left to cherish his many wonderful memories include three daughters, Robin Joyce Loessberg and husband Cameron, of Elizabethton, Virginia Blevins and husband Donnie, also of Elizabethton and Paulette Lee Holloway, of California; his grandchildren, Laura Pashenee, James Pashenee, Robin Meeks, Robert Meeks, Shannon Blevins, George Blevins and Jason Shaw; his great-grandchildren, Emily Rose, Cameron, Jacob, Madison, Bailey, Sherina, Lexi, William, Christopher, Aubrey, Carson and Gracie; two brothers, John Bell Lewis and Richard Lewis; and his present wife, Margie Lewis and her daughter, Barbara Shaw (Roger). 
 
A service to celebrate the life of Clyde Houston Lewis will be conducted at 12:00 PM on Monday, May 31, 2021, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton with Pastor Terry Richardson officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, prior to the service on Monday.

The graveside will follow in the Hurley Cemetery (Hurley Hollow Road, Elizabethton).  Active pallbearers will be John Bell Lewis, Richard Lewis, Cameron Loessberg, Eddie Presnell, Roger Shaw and Jason Shaw.  Honorary pallbearers will be James Pashenee and George Blevins.  
 
The family would like to especially thank Cameron Loessberg for his help and care of Clyde and to Hillview Health Center for their compassion and care for Clyde.
