FROM STAFF REPORTS
It’s that time of year again when the Hampton boys and girls basketball teams pull their resources together to host their annual Bulldog Golf Tournament at Elizabethton Golf Course on May 29th.

The tournament is the major fundraiser for the basketball program as the teams split the proceeds from the tournament.

It only cost $50 to play in the tournament which gets the players a delicious lunch with homemade desserts by the basketball team parents and has door prize giveaways.

With two shotgun starts, the tournament is in essence two tournaments as the first shotgun start will be at 8 am and the second at 1 pm. Players will be able to decide which starting group they want to be in and there will be two different winners.

So far, there have been 40 teams that have signed up and according to tournament organizer Mike Matheson, there will be only about 50 teams allowed to participate due to the number of golf carts available.

Anyone wishing to play should sign up as soon as possible by contacting Matheson at 423-491-1377 as the spaces are sure to fill quickly.
