Homicide suspect sought

According to Washington County Sheriff Ed Graybeal, Washington County Investigators are searching for Ralph Eugene Davenport, 47, 480 Ford Creek Road, Apt. #8, Gray. Davenport is wanted on charges of first-degree murder following an investigation into a shooting at 480 Ford Creek Road in which Leslie Dawn Belt, 43, was shot and killed.
Davenport fled the scene prior to the arrival of law enforcement, and is currently on the run. Davenport was last seen driving a white 2001 Ford Van, possibly with ladder racks on top.
Davenport is currently on federal supervised release following a conviction in United States Federal Court. Davenport was also convicted of voluntary manslaughter in 1993 after being found guilty for shooting and killing a man in Johnson City.
Davenport is 6 feet tall, weighs 245 pounds, has brown eyes and grayish brown hair.
Davenport is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached. Anyone with information on Davenport’s whereabouts is asked to call their local law enforcement agency or dial 911.
