Florine Morris Odom, 80, Elizabethton, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2020, in the Sycamore Shoals Hospital. A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Frank & Ruth Morris. Florine was a graduate of Elizabethton High School. She was employed as a Residential Care Giver at the Dawn of Hope, Johnson City. She loved to cook and sing Christian songs. Florine was a member of Bunker Hill Christian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Raymond William Odom, two brothers: Allen & Daniel Morris, two sisters: Margie Lewis and Wanda Miller and her special friend: Ralph Davis.
Survivors include her children: Tammy Odom, Mark Odom & wife Doris and Angie Lyons & Husband: Montie. Her Grandchildren: Amber Church and Denise Nelms. One Great Granddaughter: Olivia Nelms and several nieces & nephews.
Graveside Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 9, 2020, in Happy Valley Memorial Park with Pastor Mark Gerard officiating. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the Dawn of Hope Co-Workers. Friends may register their presence at the funeral home from 1 to 5 p.m. Tuesday. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 10:50 a.m. Wednesday. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, everyone is required to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
