Clyde “Eddie” Forbes, 63, Elizabethton, passed away Sunday, November 8, 2020, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital.
He was a native of Carter County and the son of Roy Forbes and Charlotte Babb Forbes Laws.
Eddie was a graduate of Hampton High School. He was a truck driver for 30 years and later owned Class Act Cycle Shop. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church but attended True Gospel Baptist Church.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Karen Fisher.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Jennifer Jones Forbes; his children, James (Morgan), Jacob and Julie; two sisters, Linda Forbes and Rosie (David) Harwell; his mother-in-law, Margaret Jones; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no funeral service at this time because of the COVID virus. We would like to thank the staff of Sycamore Shoals Hospital for the way they called and kept us informed.
