Linda Lou Holmes, 72, Elizabethton, passed away at her residence on Monday, October 5, 2020.
Linda was a native of Williamson, W.Va., and the daughter of the late Willie Burchette and Acle Simms.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.
She is survived by her husband, Marvin Holmes, of the home; her daughter, Robin (Kenny) Hornsby of Elizabethton, Tenn.; a son, Robert (Dawn) Hakes of London, Ohio; and a brother, William Burchett of Texas. Also left to cherish her memory are five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, October 11, in the Garland Cemetery with Mr. Gene Deaton, minister, officiating. Interment will follow the service. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. Saturday, prior to the service. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, everyone is required to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
