A super moon and super weather…

Jack Smith, of Hampton, puts the finishing touches on the sign for his new “Senior Corn Maze”. Smith said he got the idea for the maze from a Facebook post about a year ago. He and his grandchildren decided that Hampton need a new maze just for “Seniors” and worked all summer on the design. He hopes everyone, not just seniors, will enjoy the maze which is located about a half-mile up Gap Creek Road off of US-19. He said this year the maze is free but may have to charge people next year if this year's design is a hit.

A second alinement in as many months finds the planet Mars, the bright red dot at the two o’clock position, passing by the Moon’s last Friday night around midnight.
The recent super moon along with some great weather including cool and less-humid days and glorious sunshine has gone a long way in bringing out the best in people who have taken advantage of the same.
