Ruth E. Wolfe, 86, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at her home after a brief illness. She was born July 30, 1934, in Wall, New Jersey where she was a homemaker. Although she had no children of her own, she took in six nieces and nephews in a time of need, Ron Wolfe, Colleen Watson, Dawn Duncan, Doug Wolfe, Bonnie Wolfe and Penni Replogle. Mrs. Wolfe also took in others along the years that needed a place to stay. After moving to Tennessee 20 years ago, she enjoyed life on the farm, swinging on the front porch swing, watching the horses and dogs. She loved rides thru the country singing to the radio.
Left to cherish her memory are her sister, Shirley Spayd, brother, William Spayd and many nieces and nephews.
We would like to acknowledge the wonderful hospice team whom we came to love as family, Stephanie, Wilma, Joni and Sara. You made this journey bearable, thanks for the wonderful care. Also thanks to Pastor Cunningham for the many visits and to everyone for their prayers.
An open house to family and friends will be Sunday, October 11, 2020, at 4:00 PM at 146 Holston Mountain Road, Elizabethton, TN.
