Cameras have a fascinating way of reaching the heart.
Jared Andrews grew up in the area, and says from a young age he had an appreciation for art.
“I’ve always really been interested in artistic things,” he said. “I’ve always loved music. I played when I was a little kid too.”
Andrews attributes his first real exposure to photography, as well as realizing he had a passion for it, to his mom.
“I’ve always been able to appreciate good photography, but it wasn’t until recently when I really knew I liked it,” he said. “I started messing with my mom’s camera and then I decided I wanted my own. I fell in love with it.”
Since developing a love of photography, Andrews has launched a website.
“I wanted to stand out and I thought it would be a good place for people to be able to see my work,” he explained. “On my website, it’s categorized, so you can look at what you want to see.”
Andrews said his favorite kind of shoots are of couples and friends. He loves the interactions.
For services, he is open to ideas in photoshoots.
“I want to do more. I have been very experimental with things,” he said. “I’m definitely open to suggestions if someone has a pretty cool idea.”
Andrews hopes to continue studying photography through courses, etc. in the future and also wants to make his passion a full-time career.
In addition to his work professionally, Andrews finds a muse for photography in the great outdoors.
“I like just about anything outdoors, hiking and things like that,” he said.
In addition to photography, Andrews is also passionate about videography, which he also offers services for.
When asked what his favorite aspect of photography is, Andrews reconnects to his love for the camera.
“If you get a really nice camera, you’re not going to want to put it down,” he said. “The equipment to me is what made me want to get started. It just blew my mind how detailed it was.”
