Christine Harmon, age 93, of Elizabethton, Tennessee passed away after a long, full, happy life on Wednesday, September 2, 2020, from the Life Care Center of Elizabethton.  Christine was born in Carter County to the late Brownlow and Mary Collins Blackburn.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Henry Coy Harmon; and several siblings.
 Christine was a loving mother and grandmother.  She was a fun, happy and loving person who had a contagious laugh.  Although she lived a very simple life, she was a very giving and generous person.  She loved to worked around her home and garden but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
 Those left to cherish her many wonderful memories include her son, Henry Coy Harmon, Jr. and wife Shayla, of Elizabethton; her daughter, Mary Ann Forrester, of Mountain City; five grandchildren, Dylan Harmon, Noah Harmon, Kaleb Harmon, Henry Coy Harmon, III and Ravyn Harmon; two stepdaughters; one stepson. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A graveside service to celebrate Christine’s life will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Sunday, September 6, 2020, in the Harmon Cemetery (Darrell Harmon Road off Clawson Road) in the Poga Community of Butler, Tennessee.  Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 12:50 PM on Sunday.
 Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Carter County is mandating that all citizens who live in or visit wear masks or facial coverings in public all visitors to the graveside service are required to adhere to this mandate.  Also, social distancing recommendations must be observed.
