Letter writer says a Christian president needs to be elected

To the Editor:

J. Hyder, the President of Carter County Democratic Women, questioned my letter to the editor about voting for Christians. Hyder said, “If you are saying a Christian should lead our country, then where is he? It is definitely not the person we have now, who has broken all the Ten Commandments. So if you voted for him you definitely aren’t agreeing with what you, yourself said.

“To keep our country we need a new leader and since the country does better under democratic leadership, I would suggest you vote blue.”

I thank Hyder for her comments and suggestion. I was writing about in every election it’s best to have Christians elected. Hyder is right. Trump has committed a lot of sin and can be rude. However, all people have committed sin and apart from Jesus and His blood covering our sin aren’t Christians. We all need Jesus. I don’t know if Trump asked Jesus to save him and forgive him. I don’t know if Trump believes Jesus died for his sin and rose again and is his only way to heaven. To be saved and righteous it is required to trust in Jesus’ blood and finished work on the cross as your only way to heaven.

The Bible in Revelation 22 says there are four kinds of people. Two types of Christians are righteous and dedicated (holy) righteous. There are two types of non-Christians. The first are those who are unjust whose sins haven’t been covered by the blood of Jesus. The second kind of non-Christian is worse than the first and is the filthy or demonic.

We don’t just vote for a president, we vote for a platform. Those who have looked at the two platforms say the Republican platform is far more pleasing to God. The Democrat platform mocks God and is demonic. Supporting abortion and globalism is demonic.

David Horowitz argues in his book, “Dark Agenda: The War to Destroy Christian America,” that secularists and leftists want to turn America into a godless, heathen society where religion has absolutely no role. “The war on Christianity is real, and it’s right on our doorsteps,” Horowitz says. Dr. John McTernan agrees with Horowitz. Now protesters are burning Bibles. Some Democrat state governors are now persecuting Christians in the name of COVID-19 safety. Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives passed the Equality Act which was rejected by the Republicans in the U.S. Senate.

Joe Biden and the Democratic Party platform support the most violent ongoing evil in America which is abortion. Biden received the endorsement of Planned Parenthood according to www.christianheadlines.com.

Because of this all Christian prolifers should follow the Bible command in Deut. 30:19 to choose life and vote for Trump! According to the Bible in Romans 13 the purpose of government is to restraint evil. Looking strictly at issues, it’s obvious that Joe Biden would increase evil if he lives up to his Democratic Party’s platform. President Trump would restrain evil based on his Republican Party’s platform. Christians should therefore vote for President Trump! The Bible says take a stand and voting is taking a stand. “Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore!”
