Bobby Gene Williams, 68, Elizabethton, passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2020, at his residence.
A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late George Williams Jr. and Bonnie Esther Mann Williams.
Bobby was a mechanic and owned his own business, Twins-Union 76, from 1985 to 1989. He retired from Color Works. He was of the Christian faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Ria Dylas.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Renee Walsh Williams; five children, Trevia, Crystal Williams, Kimberly Moreland, Laura Meredith and husband Justin and George Williams and wife Ashley; his grandchildren, Chelsie Moreland, Myla Williams, Bobbi Davenport, Bethany Broyles, Zoey Moreland, Morgan Wilson, Dakota and Hudson Roseberry, Rylan Meredith and George Thomas Williams; sons-in-law, Matt Kurz and Travis Moreland; his great-grandchildren, Cooper Davenport, Mason Dylas, Kyla and Bree Flippo, Nicholas Wilson and Aiden Wilson; his brothers, Terry, Dennis, Tim and Danny Williams; his sisters, Debbie Hyder, Sharon Williams and Amber Lewis; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, August 6. A private funeral service will be conducted Friday, August 7, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Carl Grindstaff officiating. Interment will follow in the Pearl Bowers Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Richard Guinn, Keith Elliott, Matthew Kurz, Scott Hammett, Tyler Blevins, Joey Wilson, Kevin Hayworth, Greg Mann, Tom Smith and Stacy Harrell.
