Voting in person, whether it’s during early voting or on Primary Day August 6th, is going to look a lot different than at any other time you’ve ever voted in your life. When you enter your polling place you will be greet by someone like Sarah Thompson, seen here at the Carter County Election Office. They will offer you a glove and a pen, like Mitch Broyles form Elizabethton is receiving, and you will then be directed to the actual polling place to cast your ballot.

As a new day dawns, everything in life has many choices and decisions to be made each day.
Whether it is to take a day off and head off to a fishing hole or going out to cast a vote that could not only impact one’s future but the future of others, there are decisions made or votes cast daily.
Even wildlife has a choice – be it a little less demanding than a human as it could be what field to eat in or where to bed down at night.
This week, Star Photographer Larry Souders found those out campaigning for a candidate, casting a vote, or perhaps even a fishing rod. Oh yes, he did find a couple of turkeys as well.
