According to Sheriff Ed Graybeal, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office is currently conducting an investigation into the discovery of human remains found off Dry Creek Road in Jonesborough. The remains were found in a remote wooded area off Dry Creek Road by an individual riding on the trail.
At this time, the remains have not been identified and it is unknown if foul play is involved. The remains have been turned over to the William L. Jenkins Forensic Center for further analysis. The Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone that may have information concerning this matter to please contact Investigators at 423-788-1414.
