FREE Summer Camp in a Box Series

Due to the current pandemic, summer camps will look much different this year, and many will not be meeting at all. To help keep our citizens engaged while also remaining safe, Elizabethton Parks and Recreation and the Carter County Drug Prevention Coalition has teamed up to give area youth a summer camp experience while at home this summer.
This seven-week program provides themed activities tailored each week to help keep youth engaged, active and inspired. Most boxes will serve rising kindergarten through 5thgrade ages, though there are three themes for 6th-12thgrades that will also be available.
Boxes are packed for the week complete with a schedule of what to do (and how) for each day of the week. A free lunch for the participant on the pickup date is also provided. Pickups will take place at the Elizabethton Recreation Center, 300 W. Mill St., Elizabethton, each Monday beginning Monday, July 6, through Monday, Aug. 17, from 11 a.m.-noon, only. A limited number of boxes will be available, and they will be given on a first come/first served basis. Participation is free! The schedule will be as follows:
