Peggy Ann Dingus, 62, Hampton, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2020, at her residence.
A native of Norton, Va., she was a daughter of the late Roscoe Murray and Elizabeth Turner Sexton. She had lived in Tennessee for over 32 years.
Peggy was retired from the Housekeeping Department of Pine Ridge Health Center. She was a member of Friendship Free Will Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, James Sexton; an infant sister; and her brothers, Ralph and James Murray.
Survivors include two daughters, April Allen and Amanda Allmon; five grandchildren, Haley Bowers, Michael Herrin, Evan Allmon, Eric Allmon and Jacob Allmon; two step-children, Alexis Allen and Gage Allen; three sisters, Doris Smith, Rosemary Whitaker and  Beckey Morgan; one brother, Eugene Murray; several nieces and nephews; and two sons-in-law, Mitchell Allen and Bobby Allmon.
The graveside service will be conducted at  3 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, in the Garland Cemetery (Stoney Creek) with the Rev. Danny Osborne officiating. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 2:20 p.m. Wednesday, will be Dennis Smith, Trey Morgan, Jacob Rish, Dilan Dykes, Michael Herrin and Gary Thomason. Friends may register their presence from 1 p.m. Tuesday until 5 p.m. Wednesday. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 2:20 p.m. Wednesday to go to the cemetery.
