Investigators for the Carter County Sheriff’s Office arrested two suspects Thursday afternoon in connection with four burglaries that took place in the Biltmore area.
Abe Wishon, 37, and Amy Michelle Jones, 36, are both charged with burglary, theft of property, and vandalism. Wishon is additionally charged with Schedule V drug violations, and Jones received a charge of criminal impersonation.
Investigators issued warrants for the suspects’ arrests after a burglary of a thrift store Saturday morning. They received information from the Bristol, TN Police Department identifying Wishon and Jones as the suspects who broke into the store.
Investigators then located the suspects’ vehicle at the Traveler’s Inn on West Elk Avenue Thursday afternoon. Wishon and Jones were taken into custody, and Jones gave a false name to the deputies on scene. After a search of their room, deputies found drugs belonging to Wishon. They also discovered stolen property items inside the vehicle which were related to other theft investigations.
Both Jones and Wishon are being held in the Carter County Detention Center on a $2,500 bond each.
