NASHVILLE (AP) — A Tennessee woman was arrested and accused of fatally shooting her father during a domestic dispute, authorities said.
Trynity Meadows, 18, was charged Monday with criminal homicide in the death of her father, 49-year-old Otis Meadows, news outlets reported.
Nashville Metro police responded to a shots fired call at the Meadows’ home Monday afternoon, where they found Otis Meadows suffering from a gunshot wound.
Otis Meadows’ son found his father and told police he saw his sister walking away from the home.
Surveillance video showed Trynity Meadows holding a handgun at the front door before fleeing the scene. The weapon wasn’t recovered, police said.
Police spokeswoman Kris Mumford said police previously responded to the Meadows’ home twice regarding domestic incidents, including a heated verbal dispute in April.
It’s unclear whether Trynity Meadows had an attorney who could comment on her behalf.
