Mary Scalf Oliver

Mary Scalf Oliver, 51, of Elizabethton, Tenn., went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 25, 2020, from the Bristol Regional Medical Center. Mary was born in Fort Sill, Okla., to the late Paul Douglas Scalf Sr. and Mary Joyce Willie Hoyle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Stella Elaine Mullins; a sister, Marie Berry; a brother, John Paul Scalf; and her grandmother, who raised her, Stella Mae Williams.

Mary retired from Pine Ridge Nursing Home as a CNA and attended Pleasant Beach Baptist Church. Mary was a wonderful wife, sister and friend to all that knew her and she will be missed.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 11 years, William “Lonnie” Oliver, of the home; two brothers, Paul Scalf and wife Misty of Elizabethton and Jerry Shepard of Gray; one sister, Charlotte Williams and husband Ed of Elizabethton; two special nieces, Kathy Hilton and Ann Andrews, both of Elizabethton; a special great-niece and great-nephew, Billy and Kelly Hilton of Elizabethton; a niece, Jamie Andrews; her nephews, Jeff “Skeeter” Bowers, Elijah Shepard of Gray and Ernie Berry of Elizabethton; her great-great-nephew, Corbin Hilton of Elizabethton; her pastor, Mark Fowler; and her brother-in-law, Wayne Oliver of Elizabethton. Several uncles and aunts also survive.
