William Carl “Buck” Buckles, 75, Elizabethton, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2020, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital.
A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Abe and Mossie Pierce Buckles.
William was a graduate of Unaka High School and a retired Correctional Officer with Northeast Correctional Institute. He attended Blue Springs Christian Church. He loved to fish.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Rita Oliver and Georgia Phillips.
Survivors include his wife, Cora Pierce Buckles; two children, Jeff (Dusti) Buckles and Carla (Wesley) Brown; three grandchildren, Jakob, Peyton and Easton; and one sister, Eudene Pasquale.
It was his wish to be cremated and no services are planned.
Memorial Funeral Chapel is serving the Buckles family.
